Virginia Tech mass murders

My heart truly goes out to everyone affected by the atrocities committed by that madman at Virginia Tech on Monday. I grew up in a family of Virginia Cavalier fans, but I think I speak for most UVA students, alumni, faculty and, for those of us too dumb to get into school at Charlottesville, just simple fans when I say that a tragedy like this overshadows any silly rivalry for a trophy. It's a times like this when you realize what's truly important...friends, family and the sanctity of life...not a football game.

Now having said that, there is something that's been bothering me about the coverage of this event since authorities released the total number of confirmed dead at 33. That number includes the students and teachers...plus the monster that did this. Why in God's name is this Cho dude listed among the deaths? His sorry ass is the reason it happened. And I don't think he deserves to be listed along with the innocent bystanders who happened to lose their lives just because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time. I think it shows a great deal of disrespect to the people who were killed and/or seriously, along with their families.

Not only did he not get shot by cops, he turned the gun on himself. That move, coupled with the murders of 32 others, means he has no right to even given that amount of sympathy. I truly feel sorry for his family, because they're going to suffer for their son's actions. By turning the gun on himself robbed these families any chance to receive any justice by way of a trial and a sentencing hearing. His suicide took what was an already evil act and made it that much harder with which to deal.

For the sake of simply doing the right thing, the media, as a whole, needs to take Cho's name off the list..or at least say 32 people were killed, along with one gutless, sociopathic monster. who is only worth mentioning so as to put a name with this act of pure evil.

I do hope Cho is enjoying himself in the "Tropics of the Afterlife"!!!! I hear it can get mighty hot down there.

anyone hear 'IVK report VMI instead of V Tech? I did. Wow. Thought they were supposed to be better than that.
