Voice Guy at KBPI

Who's the voice guy at KBPI? Not good enough IMO. Too weak for the music they play.
I wish they would get David Lee. He used to do voiceover work at KILO in the springs.
Now that guy rocks. I've heard him before on 98 KUPD in Phoenix,AZ. He would sound
great on KBPI.

BPI's "voice guy" is Dave Foxx. He's the Creative Services Director for Z100 in NY. Has been for many many years. Ever since he was trusted to replace Victor Caroli. Let me repeat that. He replaced Victor Caroli. A top VO talent in that day. Ever since, Z100 has been a major player in NY radio.

I don't know how long he's been used at BPI. However, BPI's numbers are fantastic with there target demo.

We all have our opinions of who would be a better "brand voice", and they're valid opinions. However, questioning the strength or quality of Dave's VO, while the ratings rise on most of his larger market clientele, is irrelevent.

He's making people money. And that's what matters most in radio today.

Oh, don't get me wrong. He's not that bad. I just think they could do much better.
I'm very impressed with the harder leaning BPI. I now listen all the time. They sound
much better now then they did a few years ago. Just thought the VO's and imaging
could use some work, still weak for a large market rock station.
