Voice Guy for KSLX

Then change the station, Bug... I've got them as one of my pre-sets and I like it...

I think KSLX has used this guy since I came to town in the summer of '91...Now THAT's durability!

Was that really necessary?

Yes! Because nobody cares about the station because it's so bad! Same with 93.3 KDKB!

Don't need to: I listen to sat radio - the way radio was meant to be! From time to time I'll punch in on 100.7 and, like KDKB, hear the same 'ol songs rehashed for like the billionth time!! How many times can one listen to Styx's "Blue Collar Man," or Journey's "Wheel In the Sky"?

Agree with you, though: Joe Kelly has a great, ballsy imaging voice (especially when he says Steve Trella's name!). But ...doesn't matter because very few people listen to that station (look at their Arbs), and in turn Joe's booming, voice-of-God voice doesn't bring in more revenue (just ask the sales staff!).

I can agree with that, these two stations are sounding more and more like one another. When I listened to KSLX 5, 6 or 7 years ago, they would have never played AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughan, or The Police. They played their own stuff... KDKB played other stuff... Now, it's like a carbon copy. I know the music is good, but there's plenty of good stuff to go around; good stuff NOT currently being given airtime on any of these stations.

I worked with Joe in Miami in the 80's and he's an incredible talent. He also scores music. Sandusky is smart in knowing that even though they're known for being frugal, Joe is worth every cent of that big, fat, hefty fee he charges. That voice of his suits KSLX to a tee.

I'm still confused as to why Steve Trella was filling in for his own shift this week. Did he get moved?
