VOICE OF LOCAL TV PROMOS.......

I've been trying to find the name of a guy's voice that I have heard for years. He is currently heard on WSB Channel 2's news open here in Atlanta. As he says, "Live, Local, Late Breaking"...... I know that he is used nationwide on many local affiliates. I've also heard him do news promos for WNBC 4 New York. Heard his as far back as the mid 1990's, used at the opening of WNEP's Newswatch 16 in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as well as FOX32 in Chicago Anyway that's all I can offer without playing his actual voice to you. So, who is the man behind this voice?

Thanks! :)

I've seen his name listed as Scott Chapin on another site. He also does VO work for Cox's KTVU Fox 2 in SF, SJ, Oakland.

I enjoyed John B. Wells on WAGA in the late 80's and then on WSB. Chapin replaced him. Wells did a demo disc for TM Century's Gold Disc 3 library launch in 1990. I have that demo and all I can say is what a set of pipes....

Just a side note, his voice is still being used by WNEP, in their opening and promos (and, they are still using the theme "Move Closer To Your World" in their opening")
