voices that you remember from the past

ASnd one of the great things about the old Price is Right eps- is Don Pardo rattling off an exhaustive list of rules ("Entries must be postmarked no later than midnight on June 13. Employees and their families of NBC and RCA are not eligible...") for the showcases. Didn't Johnny or Rod do that?

Don Pardo was also on Weird Al Yankovic's video I lost on Jeopardy along with Art Fleming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvUZijEuNDQ

Vin Scully, forever the announcer for the Dodgers.
And countless voice actors (RIP): Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, June Foray, Christine Cavanaugh, Don Messick, Casey Kasem, Paul Winchell, Janet Waldo...
I remember when it seemed like Casey Kasem voiced nearly every commercial on TV! And that was even BEFORE I became a listener to American Top 40. He had a voice that I was already familiar with!

Bob Barker was especially good about giving his announcers face time on TV. Who doesn't remember seeing Johnny in his booth saying "come on down!"?

Not on the on-air Showcases, but I think Johnny did a disclaimer in the early CBS days when they did a home sweepstakes. Johnny Gilbert (another recognizable voice that is thankfully still with us) resumed the rules for the home sweepstakes when the show moved to ABC in 1963.
