Vonceile Tiller

Many radio people know or have worked with my ex-wife, Vonceile Tiller. (Lacy Fortune on KCOH and METRO/Shadow traffic and LaJaun Kirks on KNUZ and KFRD.) Vonceile's health has not been good in the past few years with her problems with diabetes which resulted in having one of her legs amputated, in addition to being on kidney dialysis. Monday night she suffered a stroke and again on Wednesday night. This has left her partially paralyzed and unable to speak. Surgeons removed most of a blood clot in her neck yesterday. Unfortunately, the remaining part traveled to her brain. I would appreciate your prayers for her and for our son Trey who is facing this difficult time.

Chuck,

The next time you talk to her, please give her my love and tell her that she is in my prayers. I enjoyed working with her at Shadow/Metro and enjoyed meeting her parents a good number of years ago.

Andy

Consider it done, Chuck. I feel your pain, believe me. The struggles and balancing acts of diabetes and dialysis are not at all easy. It's a tremendous roller coaster ride of health dilemmas and heartache, often worsened and fought in one day, as quickly as new issues can surface. Been there, done that. Very sad, indeed.

I'll keep you, your son, and her in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Chuck,

Man, I am so sorry to hear this news. Vonceile is too nice a person to have to be going through all this! Please wish her the best from me, and know that I'll be praying for her and you and Trey too. God bless you all!

I will certainly lift your family up in prayer as well. I lost my mother and grandmother to diabetes, and know full well how much of a toll it can place on loved ones. God bless you and your family, Chuck.

Chuck,

Very sorry to hear that. My ex is also in ICU right now, with complications from having been over-sedated during a hospital stay the Sunday after Thanksgiving. She went away on them and when they got her back; she was in a coma for over a month. Dialysis, which she didn't want, ultimately saved her life. She's awake, now, but faces a long stay in skilled nursing and rehab. She's also diabetic. So, your note really struck home. Hope Vonceile pulls through. We'll all be waiting for futher news.

Chuck,

I'm sorry to hear the news. I'll be praying for a full recovery for Vonceile, and I'll also pray for your and your son, for God's peace.

God bless you all,

Bill Ingram

Our thoughts and prayers are with Vonceile and you and your extended family, Chuck.

Chuck, I've been away from the board for some time (too slow to access on the mobile; just got another laptop so hi) and just read about this for the first time. Prayers are with her, you, and Trey. Have you updated about this since then? How is she doing?

Much love.

She was moved to hospice care recently and requires around the clock care. I will pass everybody's thoughts on to Trey. Thank you for asking.

Chuck, my best to you and the family in this difficult time. Keep your head held high. You have lots of friends out here for support.
