The 1041 Format wheel spins again......104.1 flips from The Brew to VooDoo 104. Sounds like a Gen X/Hot AC type station.

It's different this time because there will be on-air talent even some that are local.
 
Another clear indication that CC has some of the worst programming minds in the business.

Throw something up against the wall to satisfy their SVP's and keep the hounds at bay for another six months.
 
On air talent don't mean nothing if you can't please people with a train wreck if this station aint formatted correctly

What I heard so far sounded almost like what Citadel is doing with their Gen X station in BR

Actually 104 was starting to build a following but kill it after one year justr like almost every format except for the new rock.

I'm surprised CC don't sell this station or do some actual research on what people want in this area

I have a message for CC in regard to 104.1: return the original format, and sell the station to someone that would keep the classic rock format for the forseeable future. ::)
 
Maybe the conventional thinking is that Cumulus will probabally blow up most formats on the stations they are getting from the Citadel buyout. CC is counting on Cumulus to change formats at 103.3, and Cumulus has news/talk in every one of their current markets, but will be hard pressed to do so in N.O., and B.R. So what could Cumulus do with that frequency, maybe give the Red Stick a new rock presence, but 92.3 already serves both markets in that capacity. STAY TUNED!!
 
voodoo stream?

Is it me, or is the voodoo 104 stream down?

Anyone know how to contact "Voodoo 104" to tell them this?
 
This morning was absolutely HORRIBLE as they were evidently making up for the commercial-free intro a few weeks ago. They literally had two songs followed by 5 minutes of commercials - continuously ! I had to switch off it was so ridiculous.
 
i like Voodoo 104 it sounds great! but i live on mississippi gulf coast but able to listen to it at home with my outdoor antenna hookup on my home stereo system.

I live outside NO. Between NO and BR.

The format is too dance...Plus the playlist is soooo limited! Theres almost NO rock! So why say rock in your liner? I cant listen if a dance/ rap song comes on...And I seem to hear GNR every time I flip by the station. I want a classic hits station in NO like Cleveland Ohio has...106.5 The Lake..But I know we will never have one. The suits dont think we like real music down here...
 
Can't make any new comments since I haven't listened in months. In fact, I have reprogrammed that button in my car - just not worth listening to.
