Vorsis VP8 VS. Omnia ONE

Thoughts? They each seem to offer a lot of the same things-- is one better than the other?

Looking to process a Top-40 leaning Hot AC. (in other words, aggressive.)

I'm no sound guru or engineer-- that's why I come to you!

To be fair, I have only recently listened to the Vorsis VP-8 at trade shows. It sounded good in that environment as you would expect. The early Vorsis stuff did not sound good to me, but there is no question that they have made competitive improvements. The Omnia One has the sonic texture of the original Omnia.FM processors. The One is quite a bit cleaner in the mid and high-end. There are some very good presets out there for the One. There is nothing wrong with getting opinions, but you should give them a test drive before making any decisions.

Try searching the board for Vorsis, Omnia, DSP-X or Orban and you'll find a wealth of opinions on the products you're asking about in this thread.

Thanks for the input guys! Anyone else have experience with either piece?
I recently put a VP-8 on a music AM with the goal of making it sound as close to FM as possible while maintaining at least competitive loudness. I was pleased with the results after making the Oldies 10khz preset sound a little less aggressive. Most importantly, the owner loves the sound. Never have used either on FM, but the Omnia One sounds very good on a nearby oldies station. Take the advice of previous posters...try them both at a time when you can dedicate at least a couple hours each to them & decide from there. Note that the VP-8 requires a laptop to program & the setup process was pretty time consuming.
