Vote for what you want to see on ION

Some of these shows are ridiculous like Moral Court, which was on for only 3 years and was re-aired on some stations last season. In the House and Wayans Bros (on BET) are fairly new and shouldn't be on ION, more like TVOne. However, sitcomsonline.com says these are not the only shows they are considering. I just thought this was a weird list, but I did vote for a few.

I voted a '10' for Perfect Strangers which I have not seen on any network in years. I also gave a '10' to Growing Pains but that show has just recently joined the Nick at Nite lineup so it doesn't really matter. Knight Rider and the A-Team are on Sleuth Network.

I gave a 10 to Barney Miller, Welcome Back Kotter, and The Wonder Years. I gave 5 to some of the other sitcoms, but 0 for Moral Court and LAPD. I don't care anything about seeing any more "reality" shows.

TV Land needs to do something like this with the shows they own the rights to. They have too much stuff that they're just sitting on and doing little or nothing with. But when has Viacom ever listened to viewers? :-\

Its not on the list but I'd love to see 'Just The Ten Of Us'. Does anyone else remember this show? I cant think of the dads name but I thought he was great. I do remember Heather Langenkamp, the girl from Freddie Kruger movies. I used to have the hots for her!

Uh, ION, here's a suggestion, how about getting rid of the infomercials that air on your Chicago affiliate ch 38?
Three or for hours of evening programming can be filled standing on your head. Let's be creative, get off
your rears and start doing something with all of the other hours of empty time other than pour it down the black hole of endless half hours devoted to Oreck vacuum cleaners, Kevin Trudeau's bogus sales scams and all the rest of the..."AD" nauseum!

If Small Wonder were one of the choices, that would make my heart beat twice. ;) Oh, to see Vicki, Jamie, Ted, Joan, Harriet, etc. on TV again! :'(

That would be the loquaciously named Bill Kirchenbauer.

By the way, I thought I once saw a rerun of Pefect Strangers on the G4 network.

GREAT SHOW! It was a spinoff of Growing Pains. My favorite episode was probably the 2-parter where the girls went to the Virgin Islands.

My favorite scene from the show was in the episode when the dad ("Graham Lubbock") was grossed out at the sight of eyeballs (for a reason I can't recall). So when he heard/saw "This is CBS" on his TV, he didn't react favorably ;D

According to the Wikipedia article linked below, the show was cancelled more because of politics at ABC and less because of ratings issues.

They are probably making a lot more money selling infomercials than they would be trying to sell advertising time on regular programming.

Do ION affiliates even get the opportunity to insert local commercials on the network programming anymore?

WPXX channel 50 in Memphis is supposed to be an ION station, but they show My Network TV in prime time, along with Access Hollywood and reruns of According to Jim, Still Standing, and America's Funniest Home Videos. The only ION programming they show are Mama's Family, the Qubo block on Fridays, and of course all the infomercials. :( This is supposed to be a station that is LMA'd by ION, so I don't see how they get away with it. ??? :-\

I forgot Dennis Haysbert (24's David Palmer) was on that show!

Actually Sleuth has stopped airing both The A-Team and Knight Rider for the time being and replaced them with shows like The Rockford Files, Magnum, P.I., Medical Investigation, and Profiler.

I find it incredibly neat and even more comical that one of the suggestions in the poll when last I visited was the original 1987-88 version of Lingo. A good show? Yes...if you were one of the early contestants that actually got the money you "won"!

Why is it that stations carry Paul Henning classics "Green Acres" and "Beverly Hillbillies", but no "Petticoat Junction"?! I loved all three, but I'll take all those Jo's at "The Junction" over the other two.

I'd like to see Petticoat Junction and Hogan's Heroes. Two TV Classics.

Glad to see they might have "Alice" though. I haven't seen it in years. I always enjoyed that show, and "Welcome Back Kotter".

That's a good question. Channel 26 here in Hartford hasn't had any local advertisers since they got a divroce from NBC 30 after they switched from PAX to i (now ION). What's local on Channel 26? A few local infomercials (including STEVE-TV a show where a guy named Steve Parker spotlights different businesses. That also airs on COX Sports Television), KIA of Old Saybrook, and a few church services including one hosted by a severly mobridly obese woman.
