VOTE: Worst Station in Sacramento

Lets find out once and for all, what is THE WORST station in Sacramento! Let's base it on how you think this station is managed, programmed and presented. The effort and energy (or lack of) that is put in and the end result. Beyond ratings, but overall sound.

Vote #1 goes to: CLASSIC 93.1!

The painful lack of imagination and purpose on this station is obvious. The reason the station was ever put on in the first place has yet to be uncovered.

Get your vote in NOW!

I understand your points about Classic 93.1, however their overall presentation is at least clean. It's barely recognizable as a Sacramento station outside of afternoon drive. I do prefer Khits 92.1 over 93, but my vote for worst would probably go to Hot 103.5. I don't listen to any Sacramento stations more than another. When I'm back in my hometown of Sac I truly scan the dial and almost everytime I tune in 103 I hear sloppy segues, 25 second breaks during mixshows that are nothing but giving out a phone number and a 12 year old kid requesting a song. I never hear a reason to keep listening. I hate to say that because I'd love to see KSFM have more challenge from 103 but the way the 2 sound now compared to each other it is obvious why 102.5 is winning.

I would have said radio 94.7 a while ago. It started as an abortion. But it's gotten a lot better. Although it's leaning a bit to AC recently. Get ride of Squeeze!!!!!

Alt is about keeping cred. Please seperate shared songs with AC stations and Jack a bit more. It's a simple scheduling rule. Kings of leon, coldplay, some stp, RHCP, and even Nirvana's smells like teen spirit is shared on other stations. Be carefull of too much ac twinged tracks to close together.

Now I know I can text, go the web, or read the app to find out about the song but can you perhaps image an intro to the new song. "introduce" the song and help the listener by educating them. one more thing is I hate the cold outro into spots. Yes alt listeners are influenced by web listening dead segues like pandora but please bumper into spots. It just sounds so wrong(at least to me...and that's all that matters to ME!!)

Classic 93.1 is the worst station around but works for CC. It's a low cost station thanks to premium choice and doesn't have to bill huge to be profitable. Humble billing will make it profitable plus it's a cluster counter programming move. Steal a bit of mix on upper end and have my 92.5 take a bit of lower end.

CBS did cluster programming great with now 100.5. Use the non rap to take at work listeners from the end and shore up 102.5. Great idea for cluster warfare and protect byron's baby.

Formats that I think would work in Sac:
AAA
Active rock/Extreme
Dance/Pride/LGTBQ(yes it's on HD. But HD penetration is weak(besides soon narrowcasting by streaming into cars will erase HD off the map. too little too late)

The station I see needing a flip is Buzz. But how's it's revenue vs cost. Stations flip due to revenue or cluster counter programming not ratings. I doubt national espn KCTC would work much better on that frequency....What about energy 106.5 for a niche programming sell to midtown hipsters and the LGTBQ. Revenue not ratings. Disposable income!!!

Entravision just seems weak in general. No investment in resources for the stations and a lack of good programming theory make it a double double to be a cellar dwellar.

Dare I nominate 98 rock for bland unadventurous music and way to much stoopid yapping. When
you have no competition you can be a shell of your former self and still do well. Ratings are great so way to go 98 rock but I feel so bad for what you could be(at least in my mind) My thoughts. My chance to get barbs hurled. I guess i'm just a hater!

I vote for Hot 103.5 as the worst. I guess they should convert back to a true hip-hop station as they were several years ago (before Entravision) and were successful. 1320, 1140, 106.5 (somewhat) should be considered for worst stations too.
