VP Candidate Paul Ryan Coverage

Naturally, TMZ has provided the most unconventional coverage, choosing to focus on Ryan's physical fitness. When asked by TMZ about which training programs he uses, Ryan replied, "P90X and Insanity." That was followed by a photo of P90X creator Tony Horton and Paul Ryan together doing the signature "X". No, that's not a PhotoShop or a retouch - the guns are for real. Not sure how Shaun T. feels about his product's endorsement.

FOX NEWS praised the announcement of Paul Ryan
MSNBC believes Obama will win re-election now that Ryan is on the GOP ticket
CNN thought Paul Ryan was a character in a movie played by Harrison Ford.

I saw ABC's Saturday World News and they tried to cover Paul Ryan in the TMZ way. While CBS examined Paul Ryan's history in confronting president Obama.

"ROFL" indeed. Harrison Ford (not to be confused with Gerald Ford - another Republican of note), played Jack Ryan in a couple of movies based on Tom Clancy novels.

I hope nobody is surprised that a show like TMZ capitalizes on Paul Ryan's physical fitness, his big blue eyes, or the story that he skins animals for sausage. TMZ is a gossip show - that's what they do.

Not exactly gossip but they do a good job of making fun of Hollywood (and other) celebrities. I really doubt anyone takes them seriously unless it is when a major celeb dies (they broke the MJ story I believe).

Um? TMZ for the past 5 years have been the first to cover every celeb death from Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Anna Nicole Smith, Faucett, etc. I know Rodney King's death was covered by Local LA Media First and Steve Jobs Death was covered by Wall Street and CneT those were the exceptions.
