Vulcan's morning show??

I see that Opie and Anthony have replaced Beaner and Ken in Syracuse (www.beanerandken.com). I'd love to see OnA in Birmingham. I listen to them on XM every morning. But my money's on BK again/again. If so, I hope they get it right and at least get back in the same city/same studio! Better yet, bring the chemistry back to Birmingham.

I'll believe either B&K or O&A doing mornings on Vulcan when I hear them on the air.

Getting B&K out of any non-compete clause they have and bringing them back wouldn't be cheap, and CC isn't making any big expenditures right now anywhere. O&A would get yanked in Birmingham within a week because we're just not ready.

It'll be Lex and Terry, I'd bet my junk on it.

I would say the same for Lex & Terry. They TANKED on Rock 97.3 because they were too dirty. There is no way it's O&A. ------ & Ken are done in Birmingham. Is there a chance it is an "All Rock No Talk" morning?

Plus, wouldn't it be nice to get some new blood in Birmingham radio?

We're talking about CC here.

My bets on B&K (cmon with the word blocks, this is a message board!) or Bob & Tom.

CC will pay any non-compete if it means ratings.

If The X had lasted, O&A would have had a direct ticket to B'ham radio, since their deal with Citadel.

I know they're a little raunchy for the area. But, at the end of the day, its about ratings and money. Birmingham is a stale market, so there's plenty of that to go around.

FFFronkis indeed!

Bob & Tom makes a lot of sense, but didn't Rock 105 out of Tuscaloosa upgrade their signal to cover B'ham? I think they still carry Bob & Tom.

You know, this seems like a real opportunity for WZRR to add some newer stuff and become an "Everything That Rocks" station.

Well, Citadel Birmingham are probably one of the lousiest braintrusts in the southeast.

They're the same ones who just let The X die, so I doubt they'll do anything to boost ZRR.

Rock 105 did boost their signal, however, its only receptive on the very southwest end of jefferson county. They dont quite cover birmingham on a whole. They carry B&T, but I dont see any issues with B&T being carried on a different station in a neighboring city.

They seem to be trying that already. Note that "trying" is distinctly different from "doing" in this case.
