W-EGO.

I never knew this station existed and I live on the east side of the charlotte region. Why are they not rated? I noticed they were playing the timeless favorites that 106.1 fm used to play. I guess charlotte still has an adult standards station if that it true.

In a sense. The mess that is Timeless Favorites isn't exactly standards. And they're not that committed to music on WEGO. Just wait until the Braves start playing day games. And then there's NASCAR qualifying, which they took over when WFMX went off the air. I don't think they even play music on the morning show.

I noticed WSAT in Salisbury showed up in the ratings. I guess that's thanks to expanding the area surveyed. That's a REAL standards station. At least it sounds like Mix 106.1 did about three years ago.

Rowan County has been included in the Charlotte radio market for many years--it was not added when the market was enlarged a few months ago. Since WSAT's tiny 1kw signal does not really get out of Rowan, the larger radio market would only increase chances that WSAT would not be rated. I'd say the diaries just landed in the right places/hands this time around. BTW, though Rowan is in the Charlotte radio market, it was deleted from the Charlotte metro (MSA) area a few years ago by the feds. The exclusion of Rowan, along with the continued exclusion of Iredell and Lancaster, greatly suppresses the population of the total area.
