W207AB / 89.3 Atlantic City

I haven't seen this posted and have no idea when the change took place but...

WKDN's former translator W207AB in Atlantic City is now re-broadcasting KEAR-FM from Sacramento, CA.

And on a slightly different topic...

W207AB has a horrible signal, even for a translator! Even on the Garden State Parkway I can pick up WNJB's signal on 89.3 with barely a trace of W207AB.

Atlantic City's other translator W230AA on 93.9 operates at almost the same height and location but with 19 more watts and comes in clearly as far west as the Hamilton Mall and in the car it comes in well as far north as Tuckerton and Beach Haven!

Family Stations' other translator, W222AL, 92.3 in Cape May is apparantly off the air, and has been since last August, according to the FCC filing ..

I turned them off for Family Radio when they changed to "commercial" and could no
longer be on 92.3. 89.3 is directional into Atlantic City, it does what it's supposed to
do. They changed Atlantic City to satellite from off-air of 106.9.

I don't think WFME has any translators ..

I believe that they have 1 or 2 up in the Hudson Valley. They'll probably pick up KEAR off the bird when necessary...or get sold.

OK, I dug around and found that WFME does indeed have 2 translators ..
W213AC, 90.5 in Hyde Park NY and W247AE, 97.3 in East Stroudsburg PA ..
W213AC went silent on February 10, and W247AE went silent on February 3, citing WFME's change from non-commercial to commercial status ..
