W224CK Vestavia Hills

So I posted about the recent app for 92.7 W224CK held by La Promesa Foundation who owns WMMA-AM Irondale (see thread regarding sale of W224CN 92.7 in Leeds). The app entails upgrading from 70 to 225 watts vertical. Looking at FCCdata.org today, I noticed the originating station for W224CK has been changed from WMMA to WDXB. So wondering what is afoot. I'm thinking that maybe this might be the "missing clue" for a Birmingham Black Information Network affiliate...maybe Iheart Media is leasing the translator to use as a rebroadcast of one of WDXB's HD channels which will carry BIN? Other than that idea, only other things I could come up with are maybe WMMA is going to be airing over one of WDXB's HD channels also (why?) or is involved in a deal (swap) where Iheart winds up broadcasting BIN (or something else) on La Promesa's 97.9 translator, W262AR which has better coverage. Other than that, Iheart could be leasing the station for an existing HD channel or forthcoming HD3.

Anyone in the know?

Both translator apps have been approved. W224CK still shows WDXB as the originating station. W224CN in Leeds has been granted a move to 93.1 (something I missed the first time I saw these apps). FCC.today had the Leeds translator listed as W226CT when the CP was approved (presumably for the station's change of frequency from 92.7 to 93.1). However, fcc.gov and fccdata.org both still show the Leeds translator as W224CN.

If 92.7 in Vestavia is going to relay WDXB (and will presumably be controlled by Iheart Media), could this be the missing "puzzle piece" to a possible Birmingham BIN affiliate? I know Iheart has been buying some stations for the BIN network (last one I heard was WWRL-AM in New York), but what Birmingham AM could Iheart possibly buy to use for a BIN station? Only ones I could think that might be candidates and isn't owned by one of the other big groups in town would be WATV, WAYE/WQCR, WMMA, and WJLD. WZGX is presumably in the process of being sold as well, but the FCC approval seems to be going nowhere. None of those scenarios seem likely, which is why I wonder if Iheart might use an FM HD channel/FM translator combination for BIN instead.
