This translator, set to symulcast WWTM when they move to their new frequency on 1390 near Madison, has had a CP to increase to 250 watts. The CP was set to expire on 10/26/2019, 3 days ago as of this post. Its still not on the air nor is there a record for anything being filed for testing or license. Its been off the air for years though I have seen no silent STA filed for it in the past either. Anyone in the know on this one or know the status of it? I would hate to hear they missed the deadline and have allowed the CP to expire. I was looking forward to seeing what the station was going to be.
 
The plot thickens again. Today, 11/06/2019 this translator filed a minor modification to move to 98.5 at 250 watts. Primary station listed is WQXD-LP 97.9 in Athens, no longer relaying WWTM in Decatur. Who knows what the deal is now.

I don't see anything filed for that translator to go to 98.5.. plus theyd have overlap with 98.5 WZDK LP Decatur

But the plot isnt that thick.. look at the email address for the licensee of W247AT, Julie Scale. It's [email protected]

Thats James Henderson, tied to WMJN-LPTV somerville and you'll also find him tied to WZDK LP 98.5 and is or was tied to WQXD-LP 97.9 Athens
 
Hmm. Interesting. The new filing looks to possibly be directional in some way so maybe it wouldn't interfere with WZDK-LP? The coverage map isn't available yet for it so I cant tell. You can see the filing for it at the link below. Its the pending filing you will see listed 1st as of 11/06/2019.

At this rate I don't think we will see this translator back on the air any time soon anyway.
