At high noon on June 17th, 2011, W250BC, a translator in Atlanta that had previously been the home of heritage Alternative station 99X, launched a new Gold-Based Hot AC format branded as Journey 97.9.
The station's format, imaging, and logo are virtually identical to those of WNNF in Cleveland. 99X has since migrated to the 99.1 frequency, which makes more sense, branding-wise.
