W263BX Montgomery

From my memory bank:

91.5 WAY FM from Nashville (Contemporary Christian)
(This station is getting an upgrade to 250 watts, relocating to 91.1 FM and moving to Prattville)
(They have a CP to do this.)
91.9 WAY FM From Nashville (Contemporary Christian)
95.7 WRBZ AM From Wetumpka (Classic Hits)
101.5 WVRV FM from Pine Level (Contemporary Christian)
102.7 WKXN FM From Greenville (Roscoe Milller's Jukebox/Urban)
104.9 WACV AM From Montgomery (Alternative)
107.1 WTGZ FM From Auburn (Alternative)
107.5 WTXK AM From Pike Road (Sports)

If I missed any, please feel free to add them.  I too don't trust Radio-Locator.  They need to do some major updating to their site.  It's still behind in so many ways.

So the Tiger is on in Montgomery? 107.1 isn't showing on radio-locator. Wow. Two commercial Alternative stations in Montgomery (even if they are translators)... and none in Pensacola... none in Fort Walton... none in Mobile... none in Panama City. You lucky devils!

I'm still going with WKXN taking 100.5.

Well, the TK 101 HD-2 channel is supposed to be alternative, but it's not very alt from what I heard. Plus it's off the air now and TK has no phone number or e-mail to write to, to complain. Even their Facebook fan page forbids Wall posts.

Way to run a radio station, Clear Channel.

The Tiger can't be on these translators due to the restrictions on compensation for "extended" coverage. Why not totally original programming on this translator. HD2/3 anyone?

The answer is pretty obvious and has already been reported by Lance Venta's (whoops, did I utter a banned name, mods?) blog. WQKS HD-2 and HD-3. The only question is what will be carried by the -2 and -3 of WQKS and the associated translators?

Last time I was in Mobile, WQKS didn't have any HD. They only run 900 watts which would put the HD at… what… 9 to 54 watts? That won't work at all. (Except to drive a translator. ;))

The last I checked, WQKS wasn't in Mobile. ;)

Regardless, I would put any amount of cash that you'd like on the table that that is what is going to happen. Care to take me up on it, Zach?

Suppose those two stations are now in the process of being built out?

If so, then I hope they'll have success once they sign on.

To Dothan Radio, I like the choices you've made on their format(s).

For once serve a segment of the population that doesn't get much airtime on the radio already.

To acesup, I like your prediction.

You may be right on the ball with that one.

D'oh, I've had Mobile on the brain today with the APR takeover of WHIL, sorry.

No way, man, all bets are off. Montgomery has been a pretty interesting market to watch lately, so I wouldn't put anything past any company at this point.
