W267BF Demopolis to Tuscaloosa

Yes, I know, another translator. Bare with me.

This one's been sold to Red Mountain Broadcasting and it's been meandering its way up highway 69 towards Tuscaloosa. The latest app puts it right on Jug Factory Road up behind Wal-Mart.

Looks like it won't be long till Tuscaloosa gets another translator station, this time on 101.3. With 200 watts it'll have a pretty good signal. The parent is currently shown as WUAL but that will certainly change; Red Mountain Broadcasting is who bought 103.1 in B'ham to put The Vulcan on for Clear Channel.

Clear Channel doesn't operate any HD stations in Tuscaloosa. They have WZBQ, WTXT, WRTR and WACT. WACT's sports pulled a 0.0 in the last ratings. Hmm. But then the HD signals of Magic, The Bull and 103-7 the Q from B'ham probably reach T-town as well. So who knows.

What say ye?
