APMG increased the height of W270AD to 371 feet which gives them a nice blue coverage, but 19 watts does not make their red coverage area look too impressive.

Interesting, when I preview the message, the word "red" comes out red, but when I actually post the message, my color code gets rewritten from color=red to color=orange and the word "red" comes out orange! So, the software recognizes the color red, but changes it to orange for the final product. Oh well, W270AD's parent station uses a lot of orange on their web site any way.
 
It rebroadcasts WKCP 89.7/Miami.

Unlike most Miami stations, it does not cover Palm Beach well at all.
 
Reason: 89.7's on the same tower at WTVJ's analog channel 6. City grade up to North Dade including Miami proper and starts to die out around the antenna farm.

Even at 100kw at 1000ft.
 
It's unfortunate that when Classical returned to the South Florida airwaves on 89.7, it is on
a disadvantaged signal. Miami-Dade reception is good, but Broward is very spotty especially
inside buildings. The translator in WPB is a way to reach those wealthy potential donors for
this public supported station. Having a limited-signal station is better than no Classical at all !

When analog shuts off will 89.7's coverage improve?

Also, having pirates on either side in a lot of places in Broward/Miami-Dade doesn't help either.

We, classical music lovers, hope that, after NBC shuts down their analogue service on VHF channel six, Classical South Florida will be able to share an antenna with La Kalle, 120m (394 feet) higher up the tower at 17107 SW 248th St.
Other stations on that same tower are WRGP and WDNA.
