W276AQ 103.1

Wild ass guess...W276AQ is fed by an off air pickup of W236CH 95.1 FM in Fort Greene and atmospheric conditions are causing the receiver at W276AQ to temporarily hear WAYV instead of W236CH.

Both list WNSH 94.7 as the primary, presumably WNSH's hd2 or 3

WNSH isn’t running anything beyond HD1. The Bridge is running on WPLJ-HD4, however.

Anyways, I messaged an engineer who may know whats up, I'll report back if i get an answer

Equipment was damaged where the feed from the HD side channel comes from, so W236CH is acting as the STL temporarily and tropo has been VERY strong the last few days in that region... so W236CH was wiped out in favor of WAYV

This translator used to be the home of Jukebox Radio. It used to translate 99.7 WJUX all the way from Monticello NY. That translator was daisy chained with 94.3 Pomona NY in the middle. 103.1 would have to switch between 94.3 and 99.7. When there was tropo, the 94.3 translator would be wiped out at the 103.1 site, so it would switch to 99.7, which would be enhanced during tropo.

Glad to see that WAYV temporarily had a translator in Fort Lee. Maybe they could take away some listeners from Z100.
