W292FO merry-go-round...where it lands nobody knows (or if it ever will)

Brantley Broadcast Associates is on the "move"...again...with W292FO in Calera, which will probably never see the light of day. About a year ago, Brantley filed an app to re-license the translator to Jemison, moving the xmtr location much further south (appears to have never been approved by the FCC). Now, another app is under review to re-license W292FO to Opp (?), with the xmtr just south of Montgomery and a new frequency of 95.3, sandwiched between WXFX at 95.1 and the WRBZ-AM translator, W238CE, at 95.5.

These people well and truly don't seem to know what the heck they are doing.
RDP sent me some info this afternoon stating the coordinates for the proposed xmtr location (south of Montgomery) were in error. But again, it really demonstrates the truth of what you said about Reynolds. The FCC wouldn't have approved that app as it was originally, with WXFX being on the adjacent channel.

Aside from all of that, Reynolds doesn't have a very good track record. I imagine both the WZGX and W252BE translator licenses will be canceled by the FCC at some point.

The owner(s) corrected the error, after I reported it. The translator itself will soon be signing on from Opp. Have a nice day. :)
