w298ba boardman translator

I am curious as if the 107.5 frequency is still available in the Boardman area as here are 2 letters filed explaining that 1.) it was shut off due to financial reasons and 2.) technical reasons.

With the license being turned in to the FCC, will someone have to wait until the next filing window to acquire the station or can someone buy the existing license?

Also based on its location was this station ever on the air?

The 107.5 translator absolutely was on the air. I used to listen to WKSU on it in 2006-2007 when I lived in Hillsville, PA (a few miles east of Boardman, right across the OH/PA border). Not sure when they took it off-air. Haven't heard it since '07.

Never saw the need for the WKSU translator there, since WYSU served the entire area on 88.5 with basically the same format, but I preferred hearing Cleveland area news to Y-town, so they served at least one person in their broadcast radius...
