WA1A Changes

Looks like Slamm'n Sammy is no more - off the website - Ashley, morning gal isn't there either. "Terry Simmons" is the new pm drive dude - he kind of sounds like Sunny's "BeachMan" ... could it be? Also, heard Terry promoting a A1A live-promo at a gas station, one that was in Ovedo ... doesn't really make any sense to me for a Brevard station promo'ng at a location they might be fringing in.

That made about as much sense as WPOZ 88.3 doing a remote at Chick-Fil-A in Palm Bay, FL. A mile from first adjacent WWIA 88.5! I worked with them, got a narrow IF filter tuner and a deep fringe antenna, we got the station at the remote site. I later made some money retrofitting radios with narrow ceramic filters all over Palm Bay to get rid of that stupid WWIA.

WPOZ remembered, and eventually bought WWIA and took it dark so they could upgrade. Fun times!

Kind of like where I live WXCV 95.3 did a remote at a McDonalds in Ridge Manor. Where its signal is almost pure static with a hiss in the background from WPYO Power 95-3 and maybe WXCV.

I can't even pick up WXCV that well in Brooksville, no less 10 miles to the east on SR 50. It's just a case of a company seeing how far they can stretch as Class A signal located right along the Gulf C.oast

Still got the monster signal, picked them up in St. Augustine last night. What is Cumulus doing with this flamethrower?
