I heard the other day that the Riverses had canned most everyone at the station and that they had shifted format. What is the story? Was there indeed carnage? Who is left there?
 
I don't know, but the fact that their website is totally offline leads me to believe that something
probably is going on..

Which is a shame, because they have folks who have been there 10-15 years. Last time we were
through there, it sounded like a darn good country station, and my wife and I listened for quite some time.
It was way better than the Tallahassee country stations.

So, whatever they change to..it probably won't be better. Just different.
 
I listened for just a few minutes. It's Today's Young Country and Today's Underground Country The New Country 92.9.
 
Yeah, some of the folks...most of the air talent has been there for quite a while. They put on a good product and generated some cash for the owners :mad:

That would be the "Riverses" to put anyone with any kind of talent on the street after a number of years.

Radio sucks....then there's the Rivers clan. ( and I mean that in the best possible way....) :'(
 
I am still hearing Tod Edwards doing weather updates and Jack Ryan can still be heard on some commercials. As a long-time WAAC listener, I can tell ya I'm NOT HAPPY with the changes and lack of loyalty shown by the owners. 99.5 "Kicks Country" has a new listener and I'm sure I am not the only one who feels that way!
