Right now, Boston, despite being a rock town, doesn't even have an Alternative station much less an Active Rock
What about WERS? WBOS tried and failed with alternative. Four rock stations gone. Seems like the jury has reached its decision.

Was listening to WZLX Carlson Mackenzie and Heather and they talked about the last moments of WAAF. I'm surprised I heart let them do this maybe because there not around anymore. But i found it interesting that they talked about when it happens to them who will be at the station to send it off. Maybe they know something we don't I don't know just interesting tid bit.

WZLX seems to be doing well in the ratings, especially in their P1
The station is not going anywhere.... as for morning shows.... there is always someone willing to do it cheaper and "you are only as good as your last book"
Since younger people have pretty much adopted other providers for their music , it is now the 34 and up male that is their target audience and by adding artists from the 90's that should assure they are the top dog in the Rock format in Boston for a while.

I do think younger people are listening to radio look at KISS 108 ratings they entire listening audience has to be younger people

I’m sure a good amount of the Kiss audience is women 25-54 who have grown up on Matty.
