Seen by yours truly at 8:45 this morning:

A man in a gorilla suit had a sign on his front reading, "Mr. Mayor, Guerilla Marketing Banned Unfair" and on his back it read, "Ban On Guerilla Marketing Is Prejudice To Primates."

OK, let's hear the comments. And remember, WAAF is also owned by Entercom, the company which brought you the METCO Gorilla joke (I saw no METCO sign on this gorilla) and Howie Carr's David Scondras sound FX! :)
 
And Cedric Maxwell " Cook me some bacon, Beeyaaach" ! and lets wipe out, Black FM Radio station in Boston , with some cool 30 mil .
 
I don't see the need to bring any other Entercom related incidents (Metco, Maxwell, or the demise of WILD especially)...totally inapplicable. The man in the suit was Anthony "Spaz" Parziale, WAAF morning show producer, who's pretty much a doofus. That's his gimmick, and that was the whole thing this morning, a gimmick.

A guy in a gorilla suit protesting a proposed ban on guerilla marketing. Sounds like a semi-clever, but generally harmless attempt at some guerilla marketing, no? Oh, a play on words: gorilla, guerilla. Nothing racial, nothing gender-biased, nothing controversial at all. It's a harmless gag. Give it a rest before it even starts.

and the Sox can't come to terms on a new contract for HIM (it was around Halloween and it's suspected
that was his costume)

How about the gorilla suit Fred Smerlas was wearing on channel 5 when the investigative reporter asked him about the percentage he was skimming off the top with his promotion company. Oh wait...that WASN'T a gorilla suit: that's the way he looks all the time.

Did Theo leave by the back door when he was dressed as a gorilla? If so, that is racist and I demand he step down. A proud primate should be allowed to leave by the front door. ::)
