WAAF in Iraq?

A nice gesture, but it won't save her from Toucher and Rich. Anyone have predictions on how WAAF vs WBCN is going to go?

aaf will get a ton of publicity out of it, so good for them. any other stations do something like that?

Lots of stations have done it already. Our right-wing conservative PM drivetime guy from our news station has done the Iraq trip and Guantanamo as well.

But Carrie's the first one I recall suggesting it....she's been trying to get this done for over a year that I'm aware of, and I hope she's OK. Apparently the State Dept. has been throwing her a ton of red tape, and in Andy Dufresne-like fashion, she's refused to accept no for an answer.

paul if what you are saying is true about her working hard to get it done then more power to her. With on-line streams I am sure she has fans there.

Kudos to her for going.

WSTR-FM (Atlanta, GA) radio sent their afternoon host and an engineer over to Iraq last October.

They went to visit the troops from the states 48th Brigade (National Guard).

They participated in a patrol and was on the air live from Camp Striker for three days.

With the time change they were on the air 11pm, Iraq time - 3pm US time.

They did a great job, to bad the station didn't take advantage of it, no promotion what so ever!
