ENTERCOM SIGNS A DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE RADIO STATION 97.7 WILD-FM BOSTON
(Bala Cynwyd, PA) - Today Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM) announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire radio station 97.7 WILD-FM Boston from Radio One Inc. for $30 million. Entercom Boston will use the 97.7 FM frequency to simulcast WAAF (also found on 107.3 FM) and will begin operations of the new station through a time brokerage agreement effective today.
Julie Kahn, Vice President and Market Manager of Entercom Boston, stated: “The 97.7 FM frequency is a great asset to add to Entercom Boston’s formidable array of dynamic brands. We are now even better equipped to serve the listeners and advertisers of New England. This acquisition enhances access to WAAF for over one million listeners in downtown Boston and the South Shore.
