WAAF Weekender Denny resigned

just as the title says....Denny was one of the better weekend jocks in Boston left radio...good luck to him if he's reading this.

Way to endear yourself to everyone else who works weekends. Grasshopper, someday, if you survive in this business, one of them will be your PD.

It's sad.......I will miss him...and I do agree...he is a great jock!

Why did denny ever get higher at AAF? Anybody know if he had another job or something? He has been doing weekends there for as long as I can remember, and seemingly he had the chops to get higher up on the food chain.

good for him though. No offense to him, or anybody else, but IMO, a lifetime weekender, unless you choose to be, seems like it would be a very depressing existence. Like I said, no offense to anyone that is one, Im a weekender now and I hope to not be doing just weekends 5 years from now.

sad if it was to leave the field...optimistic thought--maybe full-time in another market in the horizon

Denny did have a full time job....and he wanted his weekends back. he is a great jock....and any station would be better with him on the air....whether it's weekend stuff or any other time!

I totally agree with you Smoke. IMO Denny wasn't all that great. Most of the time he just wouldn't shut the hell up and would go on and on and on... i suspect that was why he was never lifted out of the weekends. I've also caught Travis on the air and from what I've heard, he has no clue what makes a good DJ.

that travis really does suck on air, but i heard he makes a hell of a tortilla soup though

And you do? Where are YOU on air?

__Clarifying post to show I didn't criticize Travis_
