AFTERNOON DRIVE PRODUCER
The Mistress Carrie Show 3PM-7PM

Boston's top rated rock station needs a producer for the afternoon drive.

If it’s in your skills set to properly PREP and contribute compelling CONTENT daily, then we want to hear from you. (IF YOU KNOW HOW TO EDIT, VALERI NEEDS SOMEONE WHO CAN PEN THESE THINGS PROPERLY! GO FOR THAT JOB!)

Are you able to set the talent up to creatively extemporize on current events? Correctly screen callers? Are you imaginative with the use of sound to engage an audience? Do you know who to call to get that newsmaker or celebrity on the air? (DUH...if the show's any good they usually call you first!)

Understand how to use the web as a weapon? (Just don't mention the WAAF lawyers!)

Know your way around a production studio? Have some on-air ability? Do you understand that EVERYTHING (except being the star) is your job? If you didn’t answer yes to all of these questions, please do not apply.

There are still many more important questions to come.

---will you work for minimum wage
---will you fetch coffee & snacks
---will you put in free overtime in exchange for CDs and free concert tickets
---will you put on the "Rock Lobster" costume in the heat of summer...oops, wrong station...

Send airchecks, resume and your producer philosophy to:

Ron Valeri, Director of FM Programming
Entercom/Boston
20 Guest Street, 3rd Floor
Boston, MA 02135

Paid remote.

WAAF pays fine. Anyone who actually works in radio would know this.

I spoke with Carrie, and the original ad was a misprint by R&R. She's going to be there for a while.

WOW ! Two WAAF Thread ! Two WAAF Thread is better than WAAF, Two Weak Signals !

Of course were there still Urban programming on 97.7, you'd be extolling its mighty virtues.

Your transparency is threadlike.

Perhaps that's why Radio One sold out. Nobody was listening cuz they couldn't hear it? Or was the format non-viable? Or?

...the grenade is in the room....pin spinning wildly in the opposite direction.

Enjoy!

97.7 signal is most powerful in Roxbury,Mattapan,Dorchester and Brocton . Not much Rock fans live there . Two signals, Same low ratings for WAAF . Entercom , Please put WAAF back to it old Transmiter ( Where most of MA can hear WAAF ) .

Wow...way to stereotype. And you're always the first person to pull the race card.

Apparently the 97.7 signal drops out between Dorchester & Brockton. Thereby denying the residents of Quincy, Milton, Braintree, Holbrook, Canton, Stoughton, and Easton the opportunity to listen to Rock music.

Do you even listen to yourself?

Apparently, if you live in a predominantly black town, you automatically shun Rock music altogether, and the signal is so directional that it may only be received in black areas by special radios only owned by black people.

You embarrass yourself, and futher perpetuate the stereotype of Boston as a racially hostile place with every pigment-based post you type.

I can see why people would be offended.
Look at the ratings ! 97.7 signal does nothing for WAAF ! Not much folks, Listen to 97.7 in Stoughton, Quincy,Braintree,Randalph, and Avon . What A Black Town ?? I live in predominanty White Area ( I really dont care who live next to me) , So I guess, I live in a White Town ( Whatever that is ) . Who selling those Specail Radios ? I like to buy those Radios .

I suppose you have the statistics to back that up.

107.3 WAAF Ratings , Low 2 . Now, 107.3/97.7 Ratings Low 2 . Rock on 97.7 does nothing for WAAF .

The ratings for 97.7 don't indicate anything.

When a station simulcasts...people more often than not....do not write down the 'booster station'.

I would imagine anyone listening to WAAF on 97.7 simply writes 'WAAF'...and not WKAF.

Also, I would imagine that some people listening on 97.7 would write down: 107.3 WAAF.

So, ratings for WKAF cannot be trusted to indicate anything.

I work in radio. How would I know what WAAF pays?

What translates as "fine"?
