WABC ditched WifeSwap tonight!

WABC aired a New York Comedy Festival special in place of WifeSwap, which is not a bad thing. I caught the last half of the show, and it would have been better if they showed some more sets. There were some funny highlights of a few comedians , but that was it, other than Sam Champion and the fact that it was billed as “A production of WABC-TV News”.

I found it odd that the network flagship station ditched a network show for a local show tonight. Perhaps it was due to the fact that it wasn't a good Monday Night Football matchup tonight. Any other stations do something like this tonight><P ID="signature">______________

I think it may have been carried by the network. Mediaweek's TV Programming Insider column listed the program as the lead-in to football in the "On TV Tonight" section in today's column.
