WABC Internet Stream

Hi New York,

I live in Philadelphia, and enjoy Mark and his Saturday Night Oldies Show. With AM reception not what is use to be, I listen to the show on via WABC internest webstream. The past two weeks I have not been able to get the stream working. When clicking on the button to listen live, the box comes stating internet site not avaiable. I connacted the service that supports the system and no replay. Other stream services work on my computer such as WCBS FM and WFAN. I have Windows Vista. Any help would be appreaciated. Thank you.
 
Is it possible WABC no longer streams the show, due to music licensing issues? (Similar to what WPHT does in Philly with their Sinatra shows on the stream.)

Listen to WABC's stream right now and let us know if it works.
 
I don't have specifics on the particular weeks you mentioned, but sometimes the Saturday evening show is shortened or pre-empted for sports events/play-by-play broadcasts (N.Y. Knicks NBA basketball, N.Y. Rangers NHL hockey, Army college football, etc.). While these events are on the air the webstream may be shut off due to contractual agreements against streaming certain sports broadcasts. This may be what you were experiencing; only a guess on my part. Of course, your original posting that there may have been technical problems may very well have been true, as well.

Sorry for the double post...problems with my web connection! The WABC audio stream (link below) is up & running as of about 4:35pm ET Sat. 11/15/08 with some dropouts (probably due to my connection). We'll see at 6pm ET - there should be no schedule conflicts tonight.

Well.....sorry, tonight's (Sat. 11/15/08) another "short show" until 6:30pm ET. I don't know what will be in its place. The audio stream is working though.
