WABC Legal ID and WPLJ-HD3

WABC's programming is simulcast on WPLJ's HD3 channel. Yet they never mention "WPLJ-HD3" in their legal ID at the top of the hour. Aren't they required by the FCC to state their HD channels in their legal ID, or is it not necessary? Most everyone else in the market recognizes their HD channels in their legal ID, even if it's on an HD1 channel. CBS Radio does it. Clear Channel's stations do it, too. Odd that ABC doesn't.

Is it possible they run the WPLJ-HD3 IDs only on the HD-FM station?

Best I can tell you're right: they're required to ID HD channels as such. Here in Nashville, where news/talk WLAC is on WNRQ(FM)'s HD3, they run dual IDs for the AM and HD3, and I've heard that from other AMs as well.

KYW recently changed their top of the hour ID so they run a separate "KYW-KYWHD AND WYSP HD2 PHILADELPHIA". Then the background music/sounder blends into the old ID they have used for decades.
