What slot? The purpose of WOR is to give iHeart a place clear Premiere's shows in Market #1. The schedule is already full unless the squeeze Sliwa in between infomercials for an hour or so on the weekend.

If Silwa's guest host run goes well, he could replace Larry Mendte in the morning. Besides, WOR's ratings have been bad for years. I can't imagine the station is doing well in mornings either.

I've been listening to Mendte in the Morning and I think he's doing a great job.

But I'm on the fence about switching to something else because it's hard to take the hysterical cackling of the producer and the emotionless, rapid-fire delivery of the traffic reporter. Both have been absent for the past few days and that's a huge upgrade.
 
Honestly, I don't know how anybody can handle mornings on air. Most of my radio work were overnights and the one time I did do mornings it just felt like I was wading through molasses underwater.....my mind was just in a fog. Luckily, for me, it only lasted three months. I did write jokes for morning DJs at one point and at least since one station wasn't too far away I drove up and dropped them off for him but at least then I could high-tail it home and go to bed. I seemed to operate best late evenings/overnights. My mom said I must be part vampire and my response was "Don't you remember who you slept with?" POW! Right in the kisser!
 
I dont want to sound political but I had to scream when i heard his latest comments on WOR sniping Cats and 77WABC.
He's been trashing Cats and 77WABC ever since he lost.

This coming from someone who couldn't even muster 5% of the vote, he couldn't even win in Red Staten Island.
He has no one to blame but himself, lost against, Adams, lost against Mamdani and blames someone else.
This someone else is the guy who kept him employed for almost 10 years making sure he wasn't street bound.
Now it seems he has stiffed numerous staffers of money from the campaign, he is supposed to have had a war chest of 7million$ unspent.
Curtis is done, his schtick is done.
