WABC Rewound begins at 6am. Will anyone be awake?

This is not a gripe about WABC's annual Rewound on Memorial Day. In fact I look forward to it! But because so many look forward to it, shouldn't it start an hour or two later on a holiday?
In 2006, Dan Ingram and Cousin Brucie clips aired at 6AM ET (3AM West Coast time)--when so many are still sleeping.
In 2007, Ross & Wilson, Ron Lundy, Johnny Donovan airchecks aired in that 6 AM timeshot. It was the only chance to hear each of them that day.

This 3 legends, Herb Oscar Anderson, Ron Lundy and Chuck Leonard will be heard in the 6AM hour. What would be so terrible about Rewound starting an hour or 2 later and then ending later? As much as H.O.A. was the Morning Mayor, he would be just as great at a later time with a wide (awake) listening audience.

I have to agree...especially during a holiday weekend, it would make sense to start things off a little later. Maybe 8 AM to 8 PM or 9 AM to 9 PM? Certainly seems there would be more of an audience.

I wish it would be 10AM-10PM, with the best aircheck airing after sunset so that the skywave will let it be heard everywhere.

I'm up and logged on and waiting! It's 5:55 EDT. Last year the server couldn't handle all the traffic. I wanted to be sure I got in the stadium to claim a seat. Although I live some 90 miles from the tower, the signal is terrible now in South Jersey. Glas Imus is on WTAA in Atlantic City.

From 1964 onward, I listened to WABC loud and clear in Delaware. Nowadays, the noise on the signal is terrible. But since I can't hear it on line at home anymore (for unknown reasons) I have to suffer through the noise.

As to the question at hand, why start it later? Rather than WABC having to find something else to air at 6am, starting Rewound then makes perfect sense. When you love it that much, getting up before 6am is worth it!

TUX...try lowering your filtering levels a notch. Open Explorer. Go to Tools. Open Internet Options. Open Security tab. For the weekend, lower it to Medium or so. Their player should work fine then. I had the same problem.

While you're there, lower the Privacy setting to allow more activity. Then rest when done.

Judging by the response on the Dentist's Rewound board, I would say the bloom is off the rose with this, which is a shame

Sat Night Oldies has cut into this, as it is a mini-rewound every week. Usually his board is off the chart, today only 7 pages of posts!

perhaps the good doctor has banished so many from his board (by actually blocking or just his general attitude) only few remain..I for one haven't read that board in a long while..

as far as rewound...it was mostly repeats today, when apparantly they have "new" '70's material available...it kinda sucked..

sat night oldies has no doubt cut into the "thrill" of rewound...sno is a good show, I will continue to enjoy it while it lasts...
