WABC-TV/New York President and General Manager Rebecca Campbell has been selected to replace the outgoing Walter Liss (retirement) as the President of the ABC Owned Television Stations Group - which, as you would expect, is the firm that contains the ten stations owned and operated by ABC/Disney.

New Yorkers most recently got an example of what Campbell can do (or in this instance, failed to do) by demanding a 200% increase from Cablevision for transmitting their stations' signal - not ESPN or any of the cable networks, the broadcast stations, mostly WABC (WPVI/Philadelphia was also affected on some Cablevision systems in New Jersey).
She's really going to have her hands full with the departure of someone even bigger than the person whose shoes she is filling - Oprah Winfrey. In a way, you can say that ABC might have handed Ms. Campbell a flaming bag of dog poo.
