WABC-TV's Heidi Jones arrested and suspended

First, it was Dr. Marvell Scott's arrest on statutory rape charges a year ago.  Now another member of the Eyewitness News team is in trouble with the law.

For allegedly filing a false police report, Heidi Jones (who also did occasional fill-ins on Good Morning America and appears on ABC's Live Well HD network) is not only facing jail time, but the unemployment line.  Scott Clark's job may not be the only one opening up at the station in the near future.

The full story from channel 7 and from the New York Daily News.

And going way back, there was Eyewitness News' original weatherman, Tex Antoine, whose career at WABC came to a screeching halt in November 1976 after making these unforgivable comments following the report of an attempted rape of an 8-year-old girl: "With rape so predominant in the news lately, it is well to remember the words of Confucius: 'If rape is inevitable, lie back and enjoy it.' "

Me and my boss were talking about both stories at The Club last night. Desiree was both the traffic girl and host of a show called Connecticut Style. - How much style can she have if she's shop(lifting) at Sears? ;D ;D ;D ;D
