WABC's 5-6 am News Hour - Gone?

This morning "WABC Talks the News" was replaced by an extra hour of the unlistenable "Red Eye Radio." Has Noem Layden's show been cancelled? If so, it will mean there's now NO live & local programming on WABC weekdays. After Bob Grant's retirement next weekend, I believe the only live & local talk show left on WABC will be Mark Simone's. What a station. :(

Maybe, but while he was off traveling with Geraldo they found a replacement. Rosh Hashanah isn't exactly an unscheduled emergency. If WABC couldn't pull a fill-in from the ranks of its massive news department ;) that certainly says something.

Matt is great and So is the young guy who fills in for Warner with sports on IMUS. I think his name is Guns??
 
Wonder what will happen tomorrow? Noam, Matt, Red Eye or perhaps the mystery board op who fies WABC IDs???
