While a WABC news crew attempted to cover a series of stabbings outside a New Jersey hospital, a man smashed their news van window, and reached in to help himself to their pricey electronics.

What the Heck is this this story sounds like the KGO Van Incident in Oakland CA.

A KGO-TV cameraman was robbed of his camera and a reporter was thrown to the ground by two men while reporting in an East Oakland neighborhood, police said Friday.

The men stole the camera and escaped. Channel 7 cameraman Stan Wong and reporter Tomas Roman did not suffer serious injuries, a station spokesman said.

and this happened to an ABC O&O too.

Also in 2007 WABC had their TV News studio on Fire at the same Time KGO TV had rainy leaks in their news set.

Wow thats crazy,I guess now at these times the reporters and the camera crews with their life in their hands to get the story and they will be the story at 11pm.Yes the clowns that robbed the crew will have a big problem dumping the $75.000 equipment on Ebay or at the local fleamarkets.I hope the police catch up with these thieves.

Its crazy too because both were Disney O&O's with the same crime and the crew were covering a major event in a Major Crime area for the 11pm news and these robberies happen 2 weeks apart in different parts of the country. I hope all the News crews in San Francisco and NYC are okay.
