200 stations bill $10 million or over; 554 bill over $5 million. 1990 bill over $1 million. AM's make up about 307 of the 1990 stations that bill over a million.
 
Thank you! That's much more information than I expected! It looks like it goes progressively down, from approximately 7/20 to 5/20 to 3/20.
 
Didn't see WFAN-AM dying anytime soon either...until they got an FM station and now the talk is of CBS Sports on AM...and another group of AM Radio listeners says good bye to the band! Just one more nail in the AM coffin!

Even so, I don't think there will be enough space for all AMs to go FM, and even if it were, they're still limited by the ownership limits imposed by the FCC.
