Apparently all Sinclair stations have dropped The Cool TV. Right now it's a black screen.

Apparently Cool had an affiliation agreement with Sinclair and Sinclair decided not to renew.. Cool may still have an agreement with Newport. It is not likely WJTC would pick up Cool as 44-2 at this time due to the Sinclair sales agreement, but depending on how long it takes to close on those agreements.... I assume it's possible. Cool also has a carriage agreement with Lin, so could Cool reappear as 10-2 so no one would be able to pick it up?
On a side note, WCTU-LD channel 46 has been carrying the "Global Christian Network" on 46-1 for years with 46-2,-3.-4 all running color test patterns. They have now added "The Word" to 46-3 and Punch TV to 46-4. 46-2 is just showing a slide with a water drop that says "off air".
Punch TV was showing amateur MMA Cage fights when I found the station. That is a definite stretch from GCN and The Word christian programming.
It's strange that WBQP-CA list The Word and Punch TV as networks they are affiliated with, but I can no longer pick up any signal from channel 12 and WBQP's DT's 4 or 5 sub-channels on 7-x have been off the air for years, but are still listed on the WBQP website. I wonder if WBQP is working on an leasing or purchasing WCTU? WCTU-LD has one hell of a low power signal for this market.. Along with the HSN LP, WCTU has one of the two strongest LP signals in Pensacola.
Why is BLAB-TV, WHBR 33-4 scrambled? The BLAB picture on WFBD 48 is nice and pretty but it's being squeezed into a tiny box in the center of the screen... It's almost unwatchable. If I zoom out to maximum zoom it still doesn't fill the screen, but it pixelates the video making it unwatchable.
Does Mobile have any low power or class A stations that cover the city carrying non-Christian/non-shopping/non-infomercial programming?

Do you not see WBQP-CD on 12 now? They were running that 7 signal without a license for a very long time and finally got the FCC to grant them a flash-cut on 12, which they then licensed. In theory, there should now be a digital signal on 12.

poledo said:Trip, I know it's been years... but do you have any idea what was up with "WBQP-2" that ran on analog channel 8 for several years before the DT channel 7 appeared. WBQP-2 (WBQP-2 was what the bug in the corner said) was pretty much America-One 24/7. It had a better signal than WBQP-12 and it didn't cut out of programming for commercials every 30 minutes.
tripinva said:All I know about it is that it is the same license as what is now WRBD-LP.
