WABV Abbeville?

My opinion of him is very dark. I still have the vulgar emails he sent us. I feel that he's a tortured soul in the end times of his life and may he find relief soon.

The property WABV is on has been sold for taxes....

That does not necessarily mean that the property isn't available. Many people buy property at tax sales under pure speculation.

Most of the people posting (and reading) here probably NO INTEREST in the availability of the property. The tax collector was likely to be seeking payment of the property taxes by selling the real estate.

People in this discussion would be interested in the broadcast license. If the collector of the property taxes thought he/she had rights to the broadcast license and had auctioned it off, we would be seeing an application at the FCC for transfer of the license.

It is possible that someone who deals in tower space might find the property interesting if it has a tower that would have value in the rental market, or if it has zoning for a tower that would allow them to erect a new tower that would be marketable and not have to fight the "Not In My Backyard" battle.

There have been a lot of posts on this board over the years about WABV (I guess "a lot" given it's no powerhouse, it's gotten a lot of attention)

I remember somebody posted pictures of the station's offices/studio on here years ago. Looked straight out of the 60s or 70s.

Thanks, I understand all of that, as I've bought and sold stations several times over the years. It is much easier to deal with a license if you have some real estate to work with, and a tower already in place.
