WABY Ditches Dial Global???

It would appear...at least during daylight hours, that as of Monday Sept. 23, that WABY 1160 has deep-six`ed the Dial Global "America's Best Music" service. From their website saratogamoon.com you'd never know. It still has Jeff Rollins as the morning host, and hasn't updated the logos for 1240 or 101.3 to even indicate THEIR recent changes. (1240 is still oldies, according to the site)
So the 1160 format NOW appears to be local during daylight hours. For those of you unaware, their homegrown format is far LESS pop-standards that what ABM plays. It's more 50's & 60's crooners, (think "Legends" format) and less Carpenters, Mathis, Striesand, etc. John Meanie has taken over the 1160 morning show. I emailed him almost 2 weeks ago (inquiring about the switch)....but he never responded.

I can't get the station after sunset, so I'd need a confirmation from someone within their night pattern to confirm what they're doing after 7pm. Dial Global is still in the region, via 1190 WSDE. Back a couple years ago, there were 3 DG (ABM) affiliates in the area...now were down to 1. For the most part, WROW 590 is very similar, but their extensive "oldies" playlist sets them apart. Far less standards from them.
