Wachs Waxes Apoplectic On CC Vis-a-vis CBS Super Bowl Fine

Today, Rodney Ho writes that Larry Wachs, in response to the half-million dollar "Nipplegate" fine to CBS that was overturned earlier this week, commented on his show that he will be "writing a letter to the FCC... They put so many people through so much misery for nothing — including me."

Wachs also didn't mince words on his former employer, Clear Channel:
“I wish Clear Channel had the [cojones] to do the same thing but of course they didn’t. They didn’t have the courage of their convictions.”

In my opinion (as well as numerous others) Wachs screwed up and like many other people cannot admit when a mistake is made. It's always got to be someone else's fault!

He knew the enviroment and that Bubba the Love Sponge had been fired just days earlier and just days prior John Hogan was in front of Congress telling what Clear Channel was doing - yet Wachs made a stupid decision to put on a porn star that blew up in his face.

But its always some one else's fault!

In all due respect, isn't a good morning show supposed to be able to judge what topics are hot and what to use daily based on the appeal of those topics and current conditions? Isn't that what makes a really great show? If so, what does that say about Wach's judgement? If it were me, I would have fired him for pure stupidity - regardless of the content.

The Regular Guys have really tuned into a very sad joke. People remember all of the stupid mistakes that Erik and Larry have made over the years. Everybody makes mistakes, but with these guys it is never their fault. The FCC will only LAUGH at Larry`s letter and fine him someone serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$ the next time that the Regular Guys are obscene on the air (which most likely won`t be too long). In my opinion, Larry needs to grow up and admit his mistakes. Let`s take bets on how long it takes until they go too far again and get fired AGAIN! They have no where else really to go. They have already fallen big time from a 100,000 watt blowtouch (96 Rock) to the small Q 100 signal (exuse me, Rock 100 ??? ;D). I just really had to see adults who never grow up like this! Maybe, they should do their show with Ludlow Porch for a few weeks to learn some manners and class ;D

What a non-issue. It's hard to get excited about profanity sensorship as though it were an affront to our free speech rights, Wachs loses me on that cause of his. TRG are the best show in town and this sensorship fixation doesn't fit their stature, maybe they could let someone else carry that banner. This website would sensor profanity, big deal.
And what beef does he have with the FCC? He implied that CC was fined but failed to appeal, is that true?

lol....try again. I've never worked with them (and very positive I never will at this point). I would not know them if I passed them on the street. Try posting again with something other than random words and numbers that make no sense nor have any basis in reality.
