The one year anniversary of their return to CHR is coming up. Doesn't seem like it's made much difference 12+. I can't comment on the demos though. I think it's still the resistance to play certain rhythmic hits. Does Bruce [EDIT] Clark still have any power? Any thoughts on why they haven't done better since the change back?

What a difference a year can make.... or not.... has it only been 1 year? seems like nothing has changed except the employees... but anyways, according to the LAST ratings they have been down, down, down, like for instance - the morning show... across the board, all demos... and so on, and so on, and so on. except fot the occasional up in 1 demo, maybe 2... I'm just sayin.....
 
I was back through the TRI last week and atleast they now have a night show! Wasn't that Blade guy in the TRI before? He's really good. Better than what they had!
 
I do like Blade, I wish he could do some work at our little station but we just don't have the budget for another staff member. I am fortunate to be able to pick up stations from the tri and in K-town. Lucky in that aspect. but anyways.
 
Blade was at WXIS Jammin' 92.3/103.9 a few years back. He was my "media interview" for a college class, right after they switched over from X-104. He was a nice guy. Apparently he got in trouble and left the area, but I won't speak of anything I don't know about first hand.
 
Actually, Blade (and this is NOT Blade posting) was "twisted" , if I type "screwed" the moderator will edit me... out of his job at X-104/Jammin'. Busted his butt for years for the company (family) and shown the door as a reward. Nuff said. And I know first hand from working there yeeeeeeeeeears ago that certain unmentioned persons haven't got a clue as to how to manage let alone program that station. I also know many an industry guy and gal that will NOT deal with that station any longer due to pi** poor management.
Track records do not ALWAYS dictate future events; in this case they do regarding WXIS.
 
Alright....my silence is broken, but I will not get into a [EDIT] slinging fest unless I am provoked!

1 I LEFT wxis of my own accord (after buying breakfest for a few that morning). I admit I wanted to suprise them...but word got out...oh well. I got "twisted" afterward due to the fear I would end up...well where I have ended up.

2 I did indeed leave the country, not because I was in trouble (funny how stuff gets started), I was trying to contact family.

3 I am/ have been an advertsing consultant for nightclubs and resturants even before leaving wxis...not P Diddy...but a junior mogul just the same, ha ha

4 I will be more than willing to answer ANY questions anyone may have as long as it doesn't put anyone else in jepardy....but I would like to state this in spite of how many people have no clue what went on while I was there: When your competition recognizes your worth allot more than the company you're working for, it's pretty sad. If had known what I know now about Bristol Broadcasting, I would have said "twist" Erwin AND their record money and crossed the street way before now.

Ask away if you care to.....oh and Mr. Rupp...my "cranius and my rectius (lol)...have never been inverted"

Blade has arrived! Awesome! Didn't exactly mean got "in trouble" by my previous post. My whole point was to NOT bring anything up I didn't know about first hand. Yeah rumors pretty much suck. Speaking of which, where the heck is crossman?
 
Here I am, J-Street! New name (actually, the old name I had)...just been laying back and reading what's going on. Here are my comments on Electric. They actually seemed to be doing better ratings-wise when they were at 99.3 on the dial. It was when they moved to 94.9 that things started to unravel. I hope things get better for them. There are some good people there.

As for Blade, I had heard some stuff in the past about him stirring up controversy in the market. I don't know if that's true or not. I don't even know the guy. To me, it was just hearsay. I hope he does well at BBC. Maybe I'll get to listen to him when I'm back up there, which will probably be July, when my niece gets married.
