WAGA'S NEW STORM CHASER (MOBILE WEATHER LAB+)

And there are many "qualified" storm chasers in the area, mostly HAM radio operators. They work along the EMS and NWS as spotters when these cells hit. And, they're mostly volunteers. Very few storm chasers make money from their chasing. Most chasers in Tornado Alley are University funded researchers and students.

The idea is a good one. Whether it'll be implemented properly... we'll see.
