WAGI 105.3

Has this station recently flipped to a Nostalgia based format? Something posessed me to tune in this afternoon and they were playing some big-band instrumental type stuff.....Then an ID sounded off at 7pm saying something about The upstate power station of something and started a preaching sermon!!!! What's up with 105.3?

It has always played a mix of programming that is quite eclectic.

The mix includes Big Band, Country, Southern Gospel and local sports in varying proportions. It's true LOCAL radio, and even though they have all of that upstate power they really could care less about affairs beyond the Cherokee County Line.

You might say that they were Jack when Jack wasn't cool.

For all of my 37 years, WAGI has had the same format, schedule, etc. It's always been there and the dayparts have been about the same as far as I can remember. And they've always done a phone-in "Swap N Shop"(a/k/a Swap Shop, Trading Post, etc) about 3 times a day.
