WAGR Lexington format change?

I moved out of the area a little over a year ago and back then WAGR was still doing classic hits as "102.5 The Tiger" with Rick and Bubba in the morning.

But now I'm seeing a Facebook "business" page for a Hot 102.5 in Lexington, as well as what appears to be a program director's site.

I know the station was being sold along with the AM WXTN, but wasn't aware a format change may have occurred. Anyone in the area can confirm if they're doing some new format?

Last I heard, a group out of Chicago is purchasing both stations. Not sure on what format changes will be made. I was last up there about a year ago when a previous group was working on purchasing, I did some work on automation PC and was never paid.

I was up there a few years ago when they changed to classic rock, setup new automation system, etc. then they went to classic hits off satellite, calling it 102.5 the tiger, they later went classic country off satellite, I haven't heard much of anything since then.

After posting, I think I found my answer in another Facebook page. Looks like it's flipped to a more contemporary urban format.

Confirmation From the NEW OWNERS! as of January 2012! The Station WAGR HOT 102.5FM station format is now a Urban Contemporary Music Station and The Sister Station Which is WXTN 1000 AM is still a Gospel Station!We will be posting a website no later than February 15,2012! I think that it is a wonderful station. I have had the opportunity of meeting some of it's staff members and I am just so amazed at the wonderful job that they have done in building their station back up. As we all know, for many years it was run by computer and now that it is, in new hands they are in full gear with live DJ's and that really is what makes the station great as well, just to let their listeners know that they are concerned about what they are listening to. The people of Holmes and surrounding Counties have been speading the news about how great the station is now, I myself have listen to it a few times and I have really enjoyed what I have heard on these two stations. Having someone that listens to the peoples vote is what has made this a great success as well. Letting the public know that there is now a R&B, Blues, and Oldies station back in Holmes County.

So Party People for your listening pleasure tune in to the all new WAGR HOT 102.5 FM and RIP the knob off.
