WAIA 97.3 Miami 1978

They had some of the best sound quality of any FM station I ever heard. It was not as good after they moved to the Channel 34 tower in 1980.

^ I'd say they went to MOR in April 1974, give or take a month. I noticed the change.

Miami Herald or Miami News "Radio Highlights" used to list WAIA's "Quadraphonic Hour." ISTR that I was told by them that they no longer did it, and that was around April 1974.

They played "Midnight at the Oasis," "You Won't See Me," "Sundown", "TSOP" and other contemporary songs from the Billboard Easy Listening Chart from an Apr 1974 issue from a link mentioned above by t.j.

Call Letters were already changed from WIOD-FM to WAIA, I'd say in 1973.
